Bear Claw Ridge (Right fork ascent with Left fork descent)

Bear Claw Ridge (right fork ascent and left for descent). Last October island trails and I went up the left fork of bear claw ridge. Since then people said that the right fork was more challenging of them two. I must say that the right fork is more challenging and alot more fun. So 8 months later on father day I decided to go up the right fork and then at the junction head back down the left fork. It was a short loop which was good because I had work that afternoon. It took us only 3 hours to complete but we were hauling ass up and back down. Going down the left fork was harder than going up being that we had to swing from tree to tree and butt scoot most of the way.

After a quick 10 minute break at the right and left fork junction we started our descent down the left fork.

It was my idea to set up some rope on the last rock face on our way down. We initially tried going down with out rope but I didn't want to risk it. Always safer than sorry!
